A plant producing smart technologies for water resource management and irrigation systems is planned to be built in the city of Taraz. The project will be implemented with the participation of investors from the People’s Republic of China. The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a consortium of Chinese companies have signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The document was signed by Minister Nurzhan Nurzhigitov and Yin Dewen, Director and Chief Economist of Yellow River Engineering Consulting Co. Ltd. The foreign delegation also included representatives of Leture Technology and Cheng Cheng Group.
The enterprise will specialize in the production of digital solutions for the water management sector, including automated systems for monitoring and managing water distribution, water level and quality sensors, software and hardware complexes for irrigation network dispatching, as well as early warning systems for floods and emergency situations.
